Family Business Coaching and Counseling

Family businesses have unique dynamics that blur the boundaries between family and work relationships. Members of a family businesses may have difficulty working together or perhaps personal problems are affecting the business operations. When personal issues or relationship problems arise in a family business and need to be resolved, and brought out in discussion so they can be dealt with over time. Management transitions, ownership conflict, employee conflict, economic changes and family disruption are among some of problems that can occur in family businesses. Often we work with clients who have trouble in sibling relationships, marriage relationships or parent/child relationships that is negatively impacting the organizational needs of the business.

Over the years, Jeff Larson, MSOD, LCSW has developed unique competence in this area with experience consulting and working with his and other family businesses. Jeff brings a background in owning and operating businesses with direct and extended family members. His personal experience includes a Master Degree in Organization Development and work with a number of types of family businesses, including his own small business and a family-owned, multi-national corporation that has thrived for four generations. In addition, his clinical training in counseling and in group process consultation can help individuals work through the sometimes difficult interpersonal dynamics of family a business relationship. Jeff has worked with a number of organizations and groups to help resolve conflicts and improve interaction in family businesses.
